Date 2 November 2021 Siam Commercial Bank made a letter informing the Stock Exchange of Thailand that that the Board of Directors meeting SCB Securities Company Limited (SCBS), a subsidiary of the Bank, entered into a share purchase agreement in Bitkub Online Company Limited (“Bitkub”) from Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Company Limited in proportion to 51% of the total shares of Bitkub, totaling approximately 17,850 million baht.
By this investment, Bitkub Online Co., Ltd., a cryptocurrency trading platform provider in Thailand. The business value according to the capital increase is at 35 billion baht or more than 1 billion USD. This makes it the third unicorn company in Thailand, after Flash Express and Ascend Money.
